Ek Balam has large buildings hidden among trees. It is a unique archeological site quite different from the rest. Ek Balam, or black jaguar, is one of the most recent sites discovered in the Yucatan peninsula and probably one of the most significant, formed by several temples, two large palaces, and a huge pyramid in the center of the city. It has 45 structures, surrounded by two concentric stone walls. It has roads or sacbes, which connect with other archeological sites such as Chichen Itza or Coba.
At the end of the archeological visit, plunge into one of nature’s great water concentrations: Cenote Hubiku. A fresh water sinkhole with a 70-meter diameter.
